  • the girl beside her window

    she sits beside her window
    watching in the dark
    she stares beyond the hill
    but hides her dreadful mark.

    she reaches for the scar
    feeling its intricate pattern
    until beyond the hill
    appears a flickering lantern

she watches it toss and turn
with the force and breath of the breeze
    while the owner strides uphill
    with strength,power and ease.

he stops at the rushing river
    and lets the lantern swim
    to follow the water downstream
with the help and blessing of the wind

he leaves a note by the bank
with his hate and velvet vest
    he slowly descends beneth
    he lets the current caress

    the suddenly he looks up
    the two meet,eye to eye
    the lantern flickers out
and leaves the man to die

she stands and gives a gasp
a man had died in her sight
her soul now torn in two
    she reaches for the light

her room now lit with warmth
    she smiles just a bit
    but reflections catch her eye
she goes to flick the switch

    fury fills her heart
    her reflection proved this true
she smashes her well worn window
    in anger and hopelessness too

out the door and down to the river
her legs could take her far
    but hatered daunted her heart
    for this formidable scar

    for years she lived alone
    afraid to communicate
yet she ran along the bank
she felt that this was fate

her foot had entered the water
    the coolness touched her heart
and she knew it was her time
that with life she would part

as her head sank slowly under
    she finally felt free
from stress and hate and life
    this girl died with glee

from above i sit and tell you this sotry
    from gods great heavenly sky
and finally come to terms with the fact that
    the girl beside the window
    was I.

  • -a note

i dont know how many people in other countries know
but australia-my country has suffered its worst bushfire in the history of this country
so far 181 people have been found dead-half if not more were found in their cars, trying to escape
    700+ homes were destroyed
bodies of babies, young children and their families were found, burnt beyond recignision.

but something no one had talked about-is the animals-no one has made a sotry on the news for the pets, wildlife and others who would have been burnt alive
    this angers me.
many people decided to leave their pets and run,no one on big properties had time to take their cattle, their horses-anything with them
why is it their lives arnt valued as ours are?
why is it no one crys over their lives just as they do with a humans
i know we are a more 'greater' being but their lives deserve tears too
    so here i am,shedding them
for the puppies, kittens, rabbits, horses, cows and all the other animals who suffered

and for those who lit the mass fires-i hope your death is painful as those who have suffered

  • twisting and untwisting
    straight yet ever winding
    tangled up within myself
    comfort is worth finding
    finding is worth comfort
    myself within up tangled
    winding ever yet straight
    untwisting and twisting

About Me

  • I wonder if I've been changed in the night? Let me think. Was I the same when I got up this morning? I almost think I can remember feeling a little different. But if I'm not the same, the next question is, who in the world am I?
